
On July 27, 2025, Patent Attorney Jiheon Bae participated as a judge and mentor at the Uthon Hackathon for high school student entrepreneurs.
The event was organized to provide young innovators with hands-on experience in development, design, investment, and intellectual property through collaboration with experts from each field.
As the managing patent attorney of Willaw IP, Bae offered practical mentoring on patent strategy and the effective use of intellectual property (IP) in building real-world businesses.
He shared actionable insights on:
identifying valuable IP within early-stage ideas,
avoiding common pitfalls during patent filings,
and strengthening the competitiveness of student-led projects.
